Broccoli has vitamin folate, which decreases the risk of breast cancer in women. If this folate is taken adequately in diet, it can defend against stomach, pancreatic, and cervical cancers.
It is still not known why folate is so beneficial to us but it is believed that folate as some role in DNA and RNA production and prevents mutations.

How to include Broccoli in diet
Ideally, Broccoli is disliked universally by all because of its bitter taste. But that bitter taste can be removed or at least reduced to quite an extent.
First, store the unwashed young Broccoli in perforated plastic bags in the refrigerator. Wash Broccoli right before eating, else if washed and stored it will develop fungus and also become limp. Flavor of Broccoli continues to reduce the older it gets.
Pieces of Broccoli can be added in rolls, pasta, pizza, salad, etc.
